Recipe Reviews
friederike from Berlin,
Quite nice, and apparently one of the (few) simpler recipes in this book. I made a few minor modifications, such as concocting my (actually DH's) own chilli sauce (mainly Chinese hot chilli oil, tabasco and a bit of sweet chilli sauce) because we couldn't find any sriracha; not roasting the pumpkin seeds (couldn't be bothered), and using half coriander, half parsley, just because that was what we still had sitting in our fridge.
To be honest, my first bite was actually not that positive - I was unlucky enough to get one that tasted of little less than cinnamon and salt, which doesn't really work that well, but once you add in all the other ingredients (pumpkin/butternut squash, yoghurt, chilli, garlic and herbs), it works really well. I originally found the recipe in a magazine that states that this is a main dish - it isn't, it's a bit too simple for that, so instead we served it with chicken; Chicken Wings with Cumin, Lemon and Garlic would probably work well.
