Lovely way to serve peaches when they're at their peak….it’s like a sweet, juicy fruit crisp for a fraction of the effort.
Halved fresh peaches are topped with crushed, almond-flavoured amaretti cookies “ easy to crush without hauling out heavy machinery - a sprinkling of sugar and a tiny dot of butter. This sounds great! I love using Amaretti cookies - my daughter always convinces me we need the biggest bag we can find - even if my recipe only calls for 2 T. Nobody ever complains! Our local peaches have not come in yet, but I'l keep this in mind for when they do. Thanks for posting.

I'm with your daughter - I love those cookies! And they went particularly well with this fruit.....and with coffee, with a cold glass of milk, on their own..... Our peaches are about 2 weeks early this year....a little on the small side but juicy and delicious. I've added a link to the recipe.
