Malted Chocolate Pudding Cake

Chocolate pudding cake is my go-to recipe for a low-fat family dessert. When google led me to this recipe - which includes malt - I was giddy with excitement.

This recipe is a bit richer than others - it includes 2T butter and an egg white. Other than that, it went together in the typical way. Do read through the recipe completely, though, because the brown sugar needs to be divided. Chocolate malt powder is added to the cake part, as well as mixed in with the boiling water.

I used Ovaltine Chocolate Malt from the regular grocery store - but isn't there a better source of malt? My sister suggested King Arthur Flour's malt.

The malt added a really nice touch. I forgot the vanilla (dope slap), and so when I try it again, and make it correctly, the rating may well rise.
