Delicious, simple dish where nothing can go wrong, except for one thing: do not assemble the dish too early. You can prepare everything up to the point that the merengues need to be added, but adding those should be something to be done shortly before serving. You don't need to use solely strawberries, other berries work just as well. Though then it probably wouldn't be Eton Mess anymore.
