I used to make this type of bread all the time. But I got out of the habit, and seeing the recipe at SK made me decide to try it again. Deb's recipe is based on the one from Mark Bittman's NYT column. I gave the first rise 20 hours, the second 2 hrs, and it cooked up beautifully. I enjoy this bread, and its ease of preparation. It was also perfect for Smitten Kitchen's scrambled egg sandwich.
