Flaky, moist, sweet and tart from the cranberries. If you just undercook by 1 minute it doesn't give you a dry scone. These are fantastic.

Tender and flavorful! Fresh cranberries really pop - they are encased in a slightly sweet, buttery, flaky scone matrix, with a large dose of lemon zest.
I replaced the 1C heavy cream with 1/2 C heavy cream + 1/2 C non-fat milk. I also used my microplane to zest the lemons (2 standard, not meyer). Otherwise I stuck to the scone recipe carefully.

Yes, the cranberry season is all too fleeting. Last year I missed it, so this year I bought a big bag at costco. This is a good, albeit high fat, way to enjoy them.
