This is a go-to snickerdoodle recipe. If it's snickerdoodles you want, you'll get a good one if you make them from this recipe. It works really well with Penzey's Ceylon cinnamon. The cinnamon, the egginess and the soft, chewy texture make this cookie so fabulous, so it's really special if you use very good cinnamon.

These Snickerdoodles were my contribution to a potluck dinner I went to last night, and everyone said they were delicious. I followed the recipe exactly, and these came out very light and crunchy. They have just the right balance between sweetness and cinnamon. Anyway, if they are supposed to be crunchy, they get 4.5 stars, if not, they only get 3.5.

They came out thin and flat, and only a little chewy. The flavour seemed to improve after a day or so in the cookie jar.
Definitely worth trying out, though I'm still more of a fan of classi...
