Eggplant disguised?

I love eggplant, but felt that the lovely baby eggplants were hard to detect. Related to that, my family's eggplant haters ate this without complaint. Grilling the sliced eggplant was great - and I'll definitely try that for other dishes.

Grilling pizza is such a great concept, and I love the smokey goodness it imparts. However, I find it very difficult to not char the bottom crust while trying to get the cheese melted. Doing a good job requires a more attentive chef than I.

I do think this grilled eggplant would make an awesome calzone filling.
