I was interested to try this well-liked recipe when I had an over abundance of tomatoes. It was good, but would have probably been better if I had cooked it for the longer amount of time. I must have used a very coarsely ground cornmeal as well and next time I will pay more attention to using a more finely ground one. Definately worth trying again.

I don't own this cookbook which was quite a dissapointment when I was all ready otherwise to cook this recipe. This is the website I used for the recipe: www.marthastewart.com/355582/tomato-cobbler though it is elswhere as well.

Tomato flavor, cornmeal-containing cobbler topping, and melted sharp cheddar on top. So flavorful!

This might be the best of the variations we've tried. Look at the links tab to see the reviews of some of the other versions.

The joy of this recipe is that preparation is easy, and the flavor just knocks my socks off.
