My daughter requested this salad for part of her birthday meal this year (2011). She choose the option of using red pears, walnuts and dried cranberries instead of apples, pecans and dried cherries. We all loved this one. My daughter said I could make it again anytime and she'd help me eat it. The dressing was very simple but delicious with the other ingredients.
