Wonderfully rich sauce, with vegetables and succulent lamb. My son selected this recipe to prepare because he likes pasta. However, it took many more steps than the typical slow cooker recipe - browning the meat, then straining out the vegetables and reducing the sauce - and then cooking pasta. But his efforts were well rewarded. If you like lamb flavor (which I do), then you would enjoy this recipe. The sauce includes a can of dark beer, which I think gives greater depth of flavor.
