Super easy, and shockingly good!
Asparagus is chopped into small pieces, boiled for exactly 1 minute, and then quickly pan fried with soy sauce and lemon juice. I used much less butter than called for, and probably less soy sauce and lemon (I didn't measure). The bits of asparagus were browned in spots, and they still had the lovely spring asparagus flavor - and were crunchy - and kissed by the soy sauce and lemon.

It really was - elicited comments even from the teenage kids! It has me hoping for a good long asparagus season.
