Hubby and I loved this soup. This book is filled with soups from famous chefs, cookbooks and restaurants. This particular soup is from Charlie Trotter Cooks at Home Cookbook. Love the flavors and textures. Bacon is sautéed then onions and carrots added and then the lentils and half the chicken stock. The soup is then simmered and later the other half of the stock and some seasonings are added for a brief cooking time. I read your review and I could not resist buying this cookbook ... I love soup and -- unbelievably enough -- this book is available for one penny (plus shipping) at Amazon!
I can't wait to try this soup.
