I didn’t make a wedding cake, but I did make a cake for my mother. This is a delicious, moist, almond cake flavoured with lemon (oil, zest and syrup) and frosted with a silky, lemony, white chocolate-vanilla bean buttercream.

How beautiful - and what a lovely cake to make for your mother - she is very lucky.
I've about had it with internet cake recipes that don't deliver - and it makes me long to own one of Rose's lovely cookbooks.

I would recommend either of her cake books...she provides general guidelines for high altitude baking in both but does recommend Susan G Purdy's Pie in the Sky and the author's website <a href="http://www.highaltitudebaking.com/index.htm">http://www.highaltitudebaking.com/index.htm</a> for recipes/guidelines.
