Belgian waffles recipe secret ingredient beer

If you've got a bunch of beer on your hands, this is a handy recipe! It makes a rich waffle batter (2 eggs, lots of butter, beer, milk, and the usual ingredients). The batter was very fluffly, and it produced crispy airy waffles.

After entertaining, we had big bottles of beer (open) and begging to be used. I prepared this late one evening, and both kids and adults loved them.

These somehow didn't seem like a breakfast food, but that might have been because we knew the ingredients.
