I really like the use of lemon juice as an acid in this salad. Sometimes I feel a heavier vinegar like balsamic can overpower the delicate flavor of tomatoes and fresh herbs, so I really enjoyed Giada's version of this summertime staple.

I have been wanting to try this for some time but can rarely find fresh mozzarella around here. I lucked up and found some at a local market that had been made in store. Since I had basil growing on my window seal and gotten a variety of heirloom tomatoes at at local produce stand that they grow on site I knew it was time of this salad. WOW! It's so good. Tastes like summer on a plate.

Easy to make and eat. I made it for 34 people for a dinner party and it was well-received.
