One of my favorite summertime indulgences is a tomato sandwich - with wholegrain bread and mayonnaise.
I first tried making mayonnaise from the Zuni Cafe cookbook during that challenge, and as that review noted, it took me 2 tries to get it to work.
I later found a blender recipe in the New James Beard cookbook, and that review noted that it was salty, but well loved.
