I used this as a basic crumble recipe but used apples and frozen berries instead of stone fruits as the base. It still worked great. I like the addition of orange zest and vanilla essence to the filling. I used almond flakes instead of pecans in the topping. So I guess what I'm saying is I made a completely difference recipe! But it just shows how useful her base recipes are that they give you a great starting point to play around.
