Very nice muffins indeed. We have a surplus of pears at the moment and were hunting for pear recipes. These don't use tons of pears, just 1 1/2 cups, but it's enough to keep them moist and flavourful.
The consistency is light and fluffy (we substituted some plain yogurt for the 2/3 cup sour cream), almost more like cupcakes than most muffins I've made.
