Update. A day later, still luscious. Both my husband and one of my students who bakes a lot have declared this to be the best coffee cake of their lives. And 14-daughter declared it Christmas-morning-worthy!

Delightful - its all that Southern Cooker said. Perfectly balanced citrus and cranberry flavor without being overly sweet. I should add that this is also not fat. for 2 loaves, 1/2 C butter, plus 1/4C butter for the crumble top.

This is the perfect seasonal coffee cake recipe for Christmas or Thanksgiving. The recipe makes two but it's easily halved to make one as I did. It's filled with lovely smells and tastes to delight your senses.... orange juice and zest, cranberries, cinnamon, and pecans. I loved the tangy bits with the cranberries, the crunchiness from the nuts and the citrus zing from the OJ and zest. It's not overly sweet even with the confectionery sugar glaze.
