I found this recipe through a recommendation on Orangette and loved the cake so much I immediately ordered the book. This is a wonderful pound cake. It is moist and tender with an amazing crunchy sweet top crust. As tempting as it was to add flavoring (almond extract, lemon rind), I resisted and made the recipe exactly as written.
