I made these baked beans to take on our anniversary and my birthday picnic. They were delicious. They are also great reheated. I did substitute pintos for the northern beans since I forgot to get northern beans and I used two cans of light red kidney beans instead of one and one dark red. I liked that there are several varieties of beans in this one in addition to the standard pork and beans. This is one of Christy Jordan from Southern Plate's recipes.
