This one takes only 4 ingredients and is simple to make. It's great with Indian dishes including Village Style Carrots with Potatoes and Peas, also from this book.

I first had parathas in Singapore and was instantly hooked on this decadent bread! For this recipe I used a mixture of whole wheat white flour and all purpose in place of the chapati flour. I used the full cup water and the dough seemed slightly stiff but after the rest (I left it for one hour) it was really soft and easy to work with. These are fun to make and very delicious! Next I will try some stuffed with cheese or even sugar.
