Caramel Ice Cream

This recipe was the 2nd ice cream recipe I tried. So far it is my favorite. The procedure is very similar to the other ice cream recipes, except you have to make the caramel first. I have made caramel several times, so that part was easy.

My girlfriend’s favorite flavor in desserts is caramel, so I was eager to see if we could make something to her satisfaction. We both loved this ice cream. A few days later, we had a caramel ice cream dessert out at a 4 star restaurant and we actually liked Chef Keller’s caramel ice cream better. We were very pleased that we could easily make such good caramel ice cream any time we want. Store bought ice cream is absolutely no comparison.
