These made me no longer miss Doritos. The kale is combined with a spice mixture (tahini, lemon juice, smoked paprika, etc.) and then baked in the oven at a low temp for 70-90 minutes-a dehydrator would also work here. I only cooked for a little less than an hour, because they smelled like they were burning. This may have been because I had been baking something else in the oven and it was still warm.
