This is a good basic taco recipe that you can vary as you like. I simmered the beans directly in the tomato sauce mixture instead of in water, as called for in the recipe. That didn't make sense to me to add another step, especially as you are using canned beans. You can omit the salsa if it's not tomato season, or use a bottled one or green salsa. Avocado makes these much more substantial.
