bunyip from Melbourne, VIC
When I was very young (are you paying attention, children?) the grocer sold biscuits out of big rectangular tins. The broken bits at the bottom were bought for making hedgehog - naughty youngsters would try to sneak bits out of the paper bag on the way home.
Nowadays you have to buy a couple of packets specially. Which is probably why you don't come across hedgehog any more.
