Very quick and surprisingly good. My 17 yr old son prepared this, and selected the recipe because it was rated "easy" and suggested 20 minute prep time.
In this dish the pasta is cooked in the manner of risotto - it is put in a frying pan (with garlic, diced potatoes and diced ham - we sub'd cottage bacon) and broth is slowly added as the pasta cooks. At the end a small amount of Parmesan and Pecorino cheese is added.
Not as rich as it looked (a good thing) and surprisingly tasty. Don't skimp on the ham/bacon, as that is the source of most of the flavor.
In place of vegetable broth, we used chicken broth.
I generally do not care for pasta that is not balanced by a big bunch of veggies, but this was good!
