I liked the idea of this (an omelette sandwich, but with the bread in the middle) but didn't feel it came off - the bread seemed to neutralise the anchovy flavour somehow, plus it was surprisingly awkward to eat. If I try it again I shall add more anchovy and probably cut the bread into conventional croutons rather than leaving it in slices.
