My boys chose this pie for Pi Day 2015. I followed the directions exactly and saw the filling thicken nicely on the stove. It then came off the stove and had butter and alcohol added. At that point the pie went into the fridge to cool. Sadly the filling...

This is a standard recipe and well explained. If you follow her exact instructions, you'll get a good pie crust. Isn't that what you want? I make the recipe quadrupled and then I freeze the extra for future pies. I've never had a problem.
