The recipes at the back of this book are written by noted vegan cookbook author Bryanna Clark Grogan. The focus is on whole foods vegan cooking without added oils and other high fat ingredients. The recipes focus on ingredients low on the glycemic index to keep blood sugar levels stable. You certainly don't need to be diabetic to enjoy these recipes. I'm not; this way of eating just makes me feel better. These are "real" recipes with good instructions and incorporating a number of creative cooking techniques.
