Vertamae Cooks in the Americas' Family Kitchen (Americas' Family Kitchen (Television Program).)

I loved her show, and when I found the book, I was very happy. Southern, African, Caribbean all together in this book. I loved the stories and pictures at the beginning. And there's a nice glossary at the beginning for those of us new to this cuisine, and a mail order index at the back. This book is a good historical reference even if you never make these recipes.
