I shudder at Betty Crocker attempting to add her particular brand of white bread cracker cooking to the Indian subcontinent, but thankfully she is a smart lady.
I say this because she recruited the best of the best to write this cookbook under her rather ignominious name. Raghavan Iyer is a genius of Indian cuisine. What Madhur Jaffrey did in the 70s and 80s, Iyer is doing for our time. He makes Indian cooking easy, understandable, and accessible for anyone, even Indian ladies who didn't have a great kitchen upbringing like me.
This man knows his stuff and this book condenses all the necessary culinary repertoire that a person needs to be a great Indian cook.
