This is an excellent, traditional, baking book with something for everyone. I have made at least 12 recipes so far, some of them multiple times and all have turned out very well. You would never guess (and most people never do) that none of these recipes contain any dairy products or eggs.

Some of my favourite recipes are the Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins, Chocolate Cake, Apple Cake and the Chocolate Chip Cookies.

I've made many recipes from this book and each and every one has turned out excellent. Patrick-Goudreau has obviously tested the recipes extensively and I've had very little trouble with substitutions when I don't have a certain ingredient on hand (she includes a great list on page 266).

I originally bought it because we have very good friends who are vegan, but now when I'm looking for a sweet treat I tend to reach for this book first.
