Although I've eaten muesli many times, for some reason it didn't occur to me that it is simply uncooked oatmeal (rolled oats), plus some extras. This recipe is given as a variation on granola. Its written in the typical Bittman style - with lots of alternatives.
Rather than make the 9 cups, I scaled the recipe down to a single serving, and added fewer components (mine is mostly rolled oats, chopped raw almonds, and unsweetened coconut). If I took a few more minutes, and added the dried fruit...
