I have made this bread a couple of times, trying the full proofing and the faster-rising versions. Both times resulted in a really good homemade loaf that I like to eat with jam or to accompany soup. This is a dense loaf, as the other reviewer noted, but also very tasty and so, so easy. I require easy bread recipes to motivate me to make my own bread rather than getting it from the bakery.

This makes a very tasty basic whole grain bread. The only reason it isn't a 5 for me is because it is a very dense loaf. It is great right out of the oven with butter but that sort of defeats the purpose of having such a healthy bread. Great with soup or on its own.

As far as preparation goes, it could not be more simple. It is really nice to take 5 minutes before bed and then just let it sit til you are ready to bake it the following day. No kneading required. Just stir until combined.
