I was so hungry for okra and this really hit the spot. I lucky to find some nice fresh okra. You carefully trim it and then pour vinegar over it and let it sit for 30 minutes. But since it isn't covered with the vinegar, I stirred it frequently. Then it is rinsed and added to fried onions and garlic, add canned tomatoes and simmer.
