This is one of the sweet potato pies that we've made in my family ever since I can remember for Thanksgiving and sometimes again at Christmas. The other one is Sweet Potato Pecan Pie and is also in this book.

It's a simple sweet potato pie with no spices which my family prefers. It does have a touch of vanilla and gets it's sweetness from both corn syrup and brown sugar.
