We enjoyed this version of cobbler although we like the one I usually make a bit better. I wish I gotten more cream since I only had enough for the dough and not some for adding when eating. My grandma always served some sweetened cream or milk with her blackberry dumplings and we loved it. I did use almond flavoring in place of the amaretto since I'd forgotten to get some.

Who doesn't love a good berry cobbler? What made this recipe special to me was the very crunchy raw sugar topping. It was the perfect complement to the light fluffy biscuits and soft liquidy blackberries.
