This is an amazing book - and a backbone of my collection. I lived in India when I was in middle-school, and on my return, I found this in the school library (an earlier edition). Soon almost every member of my family added it to their collection. It is full of great recipes - very well researched and tested. The section I use most is India, but this book has sections on Pakistan, Sri Lanka (where the author is from, originally), Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, China, Korea and Japan. I have tried dishes from almost every section, with success. Charmaine Solomon has a friendly writing style, and includes a short introduction to most recipes.
