Account Settings

You can manage your account from the Settings page, accessible by clicking your name in the top navigation.

Changing your email address

1. Go to Settings → Email.
2. Enter your new email address and your current password to confirm.
3. A verification email will be sent to your new address. Click the link in that email to complete the change.
4. Until you verify, your old address remains active.

Changing your password

1. Go to Settings → Password.
2. Enter your current password, then your new password twice.
3. Save — the change takes effect immediately.

Updating your profile

Your display name, "about me" bio, and favourite cookbook can all be updated from Settings → Profile. Your profile is public — other members can see your name, bio, and bookshelf.

Email notifications

You can control which emails Cookbooker sends you from Settings → Notifications. Available options include site announcements and notifications from the forum.

Managing your media

Forum Avatar

Your forum avatar photo appears next to your forum posts. To set or change it:

1. Go to Settings → Profile.
2. Click Choose file under the forum avatar section and select a JPEG, PNG, or GIF (max 2 MB).
3. Save — Cookbooker will crop it to a square and resize it automatically.

Recipe photos

You can attach photos to a recipe review — these appear on the recipe page and in your media gallery. To add a photo, edit an existing review or write a new one and use the photo upload section at the bottom of the review form.

To delete a photo you've uploaded, go to the review it belongs to and click Edit review. Your uploaded photos are listed at the bottom of the edit form with a Delete button beside each one.

Your media gallery

All the photos you've contributed — recipe photos and cookbook cover images — are collected in your media gallery. You can find it at Photos on your public profile page. The gallery shows your uploads in reverse chronological order. Only you (and site admins) can delete photos from this page.
