Eat Your Books exports your bookshelf as a CSV file, 200 books per page. If you have more than 200 books you'll need to download one file per page and upload them all together.
Step 1 — Export from Eat Your Books
- Log in to Eat Your Books and go to your Bookshelf.
- Select the Books tab.
- Choose the minimal view option (the download only works in this view).
- Click Download CSV to save the file for the current page.
- If you have more than 200 books, go to the next page and repeat until you have a file for each page.
Step 2 — Import into Cookbooker
- Go to Bookshelf → Import your collection.
- Select Eat Your Books as the source.
- Upload all your exported CSV files at once — you can select multiple files or drag them all onto the dropzone.
- Review the results and click Import.
What comes over
- Cookbooks matched by ISBN — added to your shelf
Eat Your Books exports do not include ratings or written notes — only the bookshelf list. If you want to bring ratings over, you'll need to use a LibraryThing or Goodreads export instead.
